Profile
Mr
Magic Zip is the sire of the 2000
Halter NYPEA Reserve Grand Champion Weanling - and - 2002 Halter
NYPEA Reserve Grand Champion Palomino Mare, Zips Quincetta
Moon.
He IS doing it all! MR is the all-around sire for
beautiful, intelligent, winning western performance
Quarter Horses that will both halter and ride. MR has
a sweet, loving docile disposition, and
superb attitude. He has a
gorgeous
head, beautiful natural muscles, and a superior mind,
all of which he passes on to his foals.
Best of all, MR ’s quiet temperament, positive
attitude, and
willingness to learn shine through in all his babies.
MR's disposition is so great that this powerful stallion is able to be
ridden by our four-year-old granddaughter, and has been shown
successfully
by our neighbor, seventeen-year-old, Tiffany!
MR sires
excellence in conformation, disposition,
attitude, and athletic ability with a pedigree that offers
performance tested foundation bloodlines and winning modern
Halter bloodlines.
At the present time, MR has sired two Paint, two Appaloosa, and 51
Quarter Horse foals, with another six broodmares left to be due in
the year 2006. His
beautiful babies are quiet, sweet, highly intelligent,
physically correct, very muscular
and promise to be TRUE
Quarter
Horses that will both halter and ride.
In addition, MR’s
foals are all eligible for the
NRHA Sire and Dam Program, the AQHA Incentive Fund,
NYSQHA Closed Futurities
(2005-2006), NPHCA Futurity Circuit, and for Palomino
mares, the foals (colored or not) also qualify for the NYPEA
Rainbow Futurities. Mr Magic Zip also donates a service to
the ESPHC Stallion Service Auction
MR's
babies are just now coming into the show arena.
The two, three, four and five-year olds are started under saddle in
such diversified events as Halter, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under
Saddle, Dressage, Reining, Barrel Racing, Team Penning, and one is
even competing in Steeplechase events.
Although MR has retired from the show
circuit to keep up his breeding responsibilities, he continues to
cheer on his siblings and stablemates. At the NY-PENN
Show in 2000, his half-sister,
Magics Coosa Nicki, was Reserve Grand Champion in the
4-Year Old Quarter Horse Halter Futurity, and his other half-sister, Estrellita De Magica, earned her PHBA
ROM at Halter, and successfully captured multiple palomino points in
both Open and Youth events. In 2001, she was NYPEA Reserve Grand
Champion English Road Hack.
“MR’s” own son,
Mr Sunny Splash, tied for 3-Year-Old Quarter Horse Halter
Futurity Champion after having a successful summer 2000 showing
under saddle in English Hunter & Pleasure Classes. A
second son, Extras Magic Mr, won a QH
Halter Futurity Championship as well at NY-Penn in 2000! Mr's
half-brother, Tuff N Magic, completed the 2003 show
season as an Open Grand Champion in both English and Western events.
His other half-brother, Magics Tuff Love, had a
successful show season showing with Tonya Clothier, TMC Performance
Horses.
Show Career
MR has had a very limited show
career, but places well at both Halter and Western Pleasure.
In 1995, after only 45 days under saddle, he captured a wealth of
blue ribbons in Western Pleasure.
In both 1995 and 1996 he stood third overall in QH Open Halter at the
NY-PENN shows, and ended the 1996 season with two AQHA Reserve Grand
Championships at Halter.
In 1997,
MR captured a Western
Pleasure Reserve Grand Championship, and in 1998 brought home the
“Blues” at both Halter and Pleasure, going on to become the
High-Point Open Halter and Performance Champion at Little Valley, NY
in 1999!
